In an effort to reunite families that have been disrupted, PPAC provides the Supervised Visitation Program. The program allows children who have been separated from their families the opportunity to maintain a relationship with their parent/s while a permanency plan is being formulated.
Children and their non-custodial parent's are able to spend quality time together in a safe and nurturing environment under the guidance of professionally trained staff who provide education, observation, documentation, and intervention, when necessary.

- Assist with the transition to reunification.
- Enable the parent to stay current with the child's development and activities.
- Support the child's developmental progression.
- Provide the material needed for accurate, verifiable documentation.
- All visitation documentation is based on observations that have been prepared by professionally trained staff. Supervisors are instructed to record what happens during parent-child contacts and are required to not include opinions and judgments.
- All documentation and file notes will be maintained in confidentiality and are available to court personnel only upon request of subpoena or valid, signed release of information.
- Evaluations are not provided of the families who use the program's services nor are recommendations made about future arrangements for parent-child access.
- The observations are of parent-child contacts which have occurred in a structured and protected setting. No prediction is intended about how contacts between the same parent/s and child/ren might occur in a less protected setting and without supervision in order to preserve objectivity. Care should be exercised by the users of these observations making such predictions.
- If fees are applicable, determinations are based on a sliding fee scale. Income verification is required.
- Limited time and space is available, therefore convenient appointments may not be possible. PPAC is under no obligation to accommodate visits.
- Visitations are only for the visiting parent and their child/ren. Others may be permitted with prior approval only.
- Conversations during the visits will be positive. All other concerns and issues must be presented to the case manager and only involve the visiting child/ren orientated issues.
- No recording devices or cameras are allowed.
- Clarify expectations before the visitations begin.
